Speed Mentoring @ the 43rd annual OALT/ABO Conference
Speed Mentoring @ the 43rd annual OALT/ABO Conference
RENEWAL/REFORME #Renewal2016
Have questions about careers in information and library science?
New professionals and students from Library Technician and/or Information Studies programs are encouraged to participate in OALT/ABO’s first Speed Mentoring session. If you decide to participate, you will be asked to complete a Participants registration form prior to Conference. Please note that this program has a limited number of participant spaces available and you must be registered for Conference to attend.
New professionals and students are paired with established professionals during our Saturday, April 30 session to meet and network during 5-minute “dates”!
Anticipate lots of laughs and the chance to share about topics, such as:
- What courses should I take after graduation?
- What are the top blogs to follow?
- What book(s) should I be reading?
- What’s the first thing I should do to find a position?
- How should I prepare to advance in my workplace?
- What is the best tip for balancing career, family and social lives?
Want to Volunteer?
We are looking for more established professionals to volunteer to share their insights and experiences. Volunteers can sign up for one or both sessions. The commitment is only an hour of your time and the willingness to answer questions with your own experiences and opinions.
Pre-registration will occur for this event so we need to have your information in advance. You will be asked to complete a Mentors registration form.
If you have questions, please contact Susan Morley sdmorley@rogers.com
Looking forward to seeing you at OALT/ABO’s first Speed Mentoring session at OALT/ABO 2016 RENEWAL/REFORME #Renewal2016
